Callan Method, Step Three
Other learning skills are emphasized in this phase, such as reading comprehension and spelling, once students have assimilated the vocabulary and grammar.
The keys on which the step is based are:
Reading
Students can now read the words they have already learnt in class in a natural way, without the risk of getting confused in pronunctiation. Students will also learn and practise the correct intonation in the sentences.
Dictation
Students practise writing in English by doing dictations, exercising oral English comprehension without the support of the context. Working with different teachers, they also get used to listening to different accents and intonations.
